On September 23rd, 2019 at approximately 6:42pm, La
Habra Heights and Los Angeles County Fire Units were dispatched to a reported
structure fire at 3910 N Hacienda Rd. Fire units arrived to find smoke coming from the
upper floor of a 2 story residence that was confirmed to be unoccupied. LA
County Sheriffs and City of La Habra Heights staff assisted with traffic
control and ensured the Hacienda gate was unlocked allowing access and egress
of incoming units and residents. Units dispatched to the scene including La
Habra Heights BC 704, ME 771 and E772 for a total of 12 personnel. Los Angeles County
units included E91, P91, E191, E43, HM43, Q118, S118 and BC 12 for a total of
21 personnel. Units were able to extinguish the fire which was of an electrical
nature in the kitchen to less than 22 minutes. This custom built residence has
3256 square feet of living space with a long elevated driveway. Damage to this
$900,000 home was estimated at $50,000.
